Really enjoyed this book。 I hated both characters mothers。 Hero’s mother was just crazy and controlling, and heroines mother was a home wrecker。 I honestly wish there was more build up to the relationship between the main characters。Where they sit and have heart to heart or get to know each other better other than having sex all the time。 But I did like how the hero did not believe the lies his mother and sister said。 And he went and chased the heroine。 Overall great book。 I kinda do hope there Really enjoyed this book。 I hated both characters mothers。 Hero’s mother was just crazy and controlling, and heroines mother was a home wrecker。 I honestly wish there was more build up to the relationship between the main characters。Where they sit and have heart to heart or get to know each other better other than having sex all the time。 But I did like how the hero did not believe the lies his mother and sister said。 And he went and chased the heroine。 Overall great book。 I kinda do hope there is a story about his sister, I would be interested in getting to know more about her illness and what is actually wrong with her。 。。。more

Pages and pages of sizzling passion and brutal words as Whit controlled Summer for his sexual pleasure, not that she was complaining。 She has a torturous past full pain and despair with tragic consequences then she lands in another tenuous situation where she’s used and betrayed。 But she’s a marvel of strength and perseverance with Whit being her only weakness。 I loved her especially when she turned things around on Whit and realized her power。 What a character he is。 The author did a fantastic job with this guy。 He’s cruel and dark and so yummy even when he’s behaving badly。 Pure sexual napalm! I was enthralled with this couple and their evolving relationship。 The bullying was almost too much at one point but I pushed through and I was so glad。 I loved the progression of their relationship as he slowly softened toward Summer and learned to love。 There are several interesting secondary characters most notably is Whit’s sister Silvie。 I hope she gets a story。 I love this darker theme from this outstanding author。 She always brings the heart melting romance and there’s plenty of that towards the end but most of the melting was the panty variety。 This was smoking! I’m so glad that Whit spoke her and she told his story。 I LOVE that this is a complete story with no cliffhangers, continuations or installments。 Just one long, beautiful, sexy story。 I love the dark and this is lights out! 。。。more

This book was absolutely fantastic。 I could not read it fast enough。 Summer was such a strong heroine and unapologetic about the way she presented herself。 She may seem like she gives in easily, but I saw it as taking what she really wanted。 She stays true to herself throughout the entire book, and the ending proved that she was capable of holding her own。 Whit was so different than I was expected。 Yes, he is a jerk, alpha hero, but he was so much more。 You could feel his emotions and tell he ha This book was absolutely fantastic。 I could not read it fast enough。 Summer was such a strong heroine and unapologetic about the way she presented herself。 She may seem like she gives in easily, but I saw it as taking what she really wanted。 She stays true to herself throughout the entire book, and the ending proved that she was capable of holding her own。 Whit was so different than I was expected。 Yes, he is a jerk, alpha hero, but he was so much more。 You could feel his emotions and tell he had such a huge heart。 I also loved how he began to slowly stand up for himself, but stayed his true self around Summer。This book has it all。。。intense moments, chemistry off the charts, drama, banter, and storyline that will have you reading it in one sitting。 。。。more

I'm going to start out by talking about Summer, as the things that happened to her were uncalled for so it left me really despising Whit。 See, Summer's mother broke up Whit's parents so when she transfers into the school that is named after Whit's family, she's hoping she can just stay under the radar。 Alas, that wasn't in the cards for her since Whit honed in on her instantly, but I can't get behind a hero who was so stinking mean to a girl who had nothing to do with what happened to his family I'm going to start out by talking about Summer, as the things that happened to her were uncalled for so it left me really despising Whit。 See, Summer's mother broke up Whit's parents so when she transfers into the school that is named after Whit's family, she's hoping she can just stay under the radar。 Alas, that wasn't in the cards for her since Whit honed in on her instantly, but I can't get behind a hero who was so stinking mean to a girl who had nothing to do with what happened to his family。 These two have serious chemistry but I would have very much liked it if she went toe to toe with him more often because it seemed like her backbone went into hiding & that's not how I roll but seriously, that's just me。 I wasn't able to put the book down until every last page was read so that's why I didn't give it a lower rating but again, this is only my opinion so I hope that y'all will make up your own minds by hitting those one click buttons! One of the best book surprises of the year!4。5 stars 。。。more

Intense。 Humiliation。 Pleasure。 Shame。 Obsession。 Challenge。 Addiction。 Secrets。 Lies。 This story is massive。 It encompasses so many emotions and the journey isn’t straightforward。 It blindsides you and comes at you sideways。 I barely survived reaching that last page。 These two characters put me through the ringer。 I didn’t always agree with them but there was not a page I turned I didn’t hold my breath anticipating what was next。 My feels are a mess。 The story was surprising and intricately lay Intense。 Humiliation。 Pleasure。 Shame。 Obsession。 Challenge。 Addiction。 Secrets。 Lies。 This story is massive。 It encompasses so many emotions and the journey isn’t straightforward。 It blindsides you and comes at you sideways。 I barely survived reaching that last page。 These two characters put me through the ringer。 I didn’t always agree with them but there was not a page I turned I didn’t hold my breath anticipating what was next。 My feels are a mess。 The story was surprising and intricately layered。 They use each other and have this struggle for dominance that no one can win。 They pushed into uncomfortable territory and met their match in so many ways。 The build up was slow as the story I unraveled but the spice levels was a ten alarm fire。 Their kinky escapades were out of this world fun to experience even second hand。 It packed a wallop I won’t be soon forgetting。 。。。more
Kari Hansen,
Whit is a character you will love to hate as he feels justified in taking his pain and anger out the one person who is innocent in the scenario。 When he finds out that Summer is attending his school, he plans to wield all the power he holds to make the situation as difficult as possible for her especially once he has the leverage to bend her to his will。Summer’s life has been turned upside down through no fault of her own and now she finds herself not only an outcast at school but being the reci Whit is a character you will love to hate as he feels justified in taking his pain and anger out the one person who is innocent in the scenario。 When he finds out that Summer is attending his school, he plans to wield all the power he holds to make the situation as difficult as possible for her especially once he has the leverage to bend her to his will。Summer’s life has been turned upside down through no fault of her own and now she finds herself not only an outcast at school but being the recipient of Whit’s ire。 With everything he says and does she should despise him but her heart doesn’t agree。 Once everything unfolds will they be each others downfall or salvation? The chemistry between these two is hawt! They take us on quite the ride as he is determined to break her, and she is determined that he won’t and there is no backing down for either one of them which only makes the evolution of their relationship that much better。 。。。more

Monica Murphy has some amazing cover designs and blurbs that really catch my attention when I see them。I don't usually read the bully/darker romance tropes, but Monica Murphy did a nice job here。 I have read a number of her books and like her writing and storytelling styles。 She really built the characters and plot into something that is difficult to put down。 I couldn't wait to see what happened next。 Whit and Summer are complex characters who have secrets and lots of chemistry despite their an Monica Murphy has some amazing cover designs and blurbs that really catch my attention when I see them。I don't usually read the bully/darker romance tropes, but Monica Murphy did a nice job here。 I have read a number of her books and like her writing and storytelling styles。 She really built the characters and plot into something that is difficult to put down。 I couldn't wait to see what happened next。 Whit and Summer are complex characters who have secrets and lots of chemistry despite their antagonistic relationship。 It was interesting watching the plot unfold as they grew closer and their romance developed。This is one of Monica's best books yet!Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review。 。。。more

This an absolute page turning, heart-aching, unendingly captivating, masterpiece of a story! When I read the synopsis for “Things I Wanted To Say” I was immediately interested in reading this story。 I have a major weakness for intense, work-for-it, enemies-to-lovers romances! 😍😉 Summer and Whit were both such, multi-layered, in-depth, well written characters。 They’re both the type of characters progressively develop and grow as the book unfolds。 I fell in love with them more than I ever thought This an absolute page turning, heart-aching, unendingly captivating, masterpiece of a story! I know for a fact that I will be back to reread this amazing book in the future。 👌🏻10 out of 10 rating! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Five stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can confidently say that this slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, completely captivating, dark, bully, intense romance will go down as one of my top reads of 2021。 💜🖤💙❤️ 。。。more

What an intense and fabulously consuming, crazy roller-coaster ride。 Whit and Summer share a moment when they are 14 which immediately sparked a connection。 When Summer ends up attending Lancaster Prep, they find themselves in each other’s orbit。 For Whit, he sees Summer as the enemy, the daughter of the woman that broke up his family。 Summer finds herself alone and just wants to get through her senior year but Whit has other ideas。 This relationship is combustible as the push-pull between them What an intense and fabulously consuming, crazy roller-coaster ride。 Whit and Summer share a moment when they are 14 which immediately sparked a connection。 When Summer ends up attending Lancaster Prep, they find themselves in each other’s orbit。 For Whit, he sees Summer as the enemy, the daughter of the woman that broke up his family。 Summer finds herself alone and just wants to get through her senior year but Whit has other ideas。 This relationship is combustible as the push-pull between them delivers all the drama with incredible passion。 I honestly never knew for sure if Whit liked Summer or hated her。 He rules the school and pulls out all the stops hoping he will get her to quit but Summer is made of tougher stuff and her strength surprises him。 Now for Summer, Whit isn’t the only Lancaster that is a master player because his mother Sylvia has her own agenda。 Wow! There are moments that disturbed me, moments that made me swoon and moments that shocked and surprised me。 The beauty of it all is that I loved every heart-pounding, gut-wrenching, over-the-top sexy moment。 I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review。 。。。more

First let me say this isn’t a trope I’m normally drawn to but that being said Ms Murphy turned this book around for me with her strong and compassionate writing。 This is Whit Lancaster and Summer Savage’s journey。 Whit is a bully and honestly a jerk but we do see glimpses of his softer side as a strong and determined Summer stands up to him, both are survivors and that gives them a connection but will Summer fall for the villain determined to make her life a misery……This book isn’t just a story, First let me say this isn’t a trope I’m normally drawn to but that being said Ms Murphy turned this book around for me with her strong and compassionate writing。 This is Whit Lancaster and Summer Savage’s journey。 Whit is a bully and honestly a jerk but we do see glimpses of his softer side as a strong and determined Summer stands up to him, both are survivors and that gives them a connection but will Summer fall for the villain determined to make her life a misery……This book isn’t just a story, it’s a journey, at times is hard to read, at times it will consume you, it will break your heart and it will put you back together as you learn the reasons this couple behave the way they do。 Secrets are being kept and Summer will do anything to keep them and that means doing whatever Whit asks of her…。。Lust soon turns to love and that’s when we see the real characters in this emotional read, this book has plenty of angst, it’s raw, its gritty, it’s dark and it’s what this author does so well。 。。。more

OMG! Deliciously dark and captivatingly twisted this dark, bully romance is a genre that I normally wouldn’t read。 But once I started, these damaged and intriguing characters made my heartache, my pulse race, taking me through a range of emotions。 I was obsessed with this pair。 Edgier。 Darker。 Wild。 Full of consuming passion and obsession。 Scorching heat was never so HOT! Something different between them! But be warned! This is not a fairytale! Get your copy today!! I loved it! “Sometimes I wond OMG!
